Hyundai has launched its first subcompact SUV ‘Venue’ in India. It is the first connected car in India by the manufacturer. After Hyundai opened its bookings from May 2, the car has already seen 15,000 bookings. The compact SUV has been unveiled in 6 variants- E, S, SX, SX+, SX dual tone, and SX(O) models.
Hyundai Venue has Cabin Air Purifier
It is the first time a car purifier is introduced in a compact SUV segment in India. The new Hyundai Venue SUVs air purifier is based on Hepa filter which cleans the air in the car, providing a healthy cabin atmosphere.
The kind of air filters charges negative oxygen ions to normal levels. The advantage is that it removes bad odors, prevents dust particles from being inhaled directly into the lungs and improves breathing.
Hyundai Venue gets an onboard wireless charger
No other car has offered a wireless charging option in subcompact SUV segment yet. Hence, Hyundai Venue offering will force other rivals to introduce this kind of feature in its cars too!
Wireless phone charging facility in the car increases convenience and safety while driving. The only thing the driver has to do is simply place the phone in the charging dock to start charging. So this feature is definitely a wise move by Hyundai.
Hyundai Venue Ecocoating Technology
The Eco Coating chemical layer guards against bad odour forming bacteria which develops on the evaporator core due to prolonged AC use. The water-soluble Titanium Dioxide coating also removes various pollutants, odours, and harmful materials suspended in the air.

Hyundai Venue has an aggressive pricing
While Tata Nexon rules this segment, Hyundai has kept the pricing of Venue subcompact car quite aggressive. The base price of the car is Rs 6.50 lakh for 1.2 l Kappa Petrol in manual transmission gearbox.
Hyundai Venue is a connected subcompact car
The subcompact SUV by Hyundai can be operated on 8-inch infotainment screen via bluelink technology. Being a connected car, Hyundai Venue has received almost 33 connectivity features. Among these 10 features are specially developed for Indian buyers.
As far as the price of subcompact SUV is concerned, the price of Hyundai Venue begins from Rs 6.50 Lakh while the segment leader ‘Tata Nexon’ base price begins from Rs 6.53 Lakh.
The other cars in this category like Ford Eco Sport ( Rs 7.83 Lakh) and Mahindra XUV 300 (Rs 7.90 Lakh) have a higher base price.
So basically, Venue subcompact is Rs 3000 less expensive than Tata Nexon and least expensive in the segment for the base model.

Hyundai Venue petrol variant price Rs 6.50 Lakh while the top variant in petrol costs you Rs 10.60 Lakh.
Similarly, Venue automatic variant price starts from Rs 9.35 Lakh and the top model in automatic DCT costs Rs 11.10 Lakh.
The diesel engine Venue price ranges between Rs 7.75 Lakh – 10.84 Lakh.
