Tata Tigo is yet to release but the features of this sedan has already making rounds on internet.At the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, Tata Motors had announced the launch date of its compact sedan – the Tigor after displaying.The official launch date is march 29.
Tigor borrows many features from the Tata Tiago. At the same time, boot space has been also added in this car. Encouraged by the success of the Tiago, Tata has a lot of expectations from the Tigor.
These are the major highlights of the upcoming Tata Tigor
1 Tigor sedan’s dimensions
In terms of dimension, the upcoming Tata Tigor measures 3992 mm in length, 1677 mm in width and 1537 mm in height along with 2450 mm of wheelbase and 170 mm of ground clearance. The car has a fuel tank capacity of 35 liters.
2 Boot Space, Suspension & Safety Features
In addition, the Tata Tigor comes with 419 liters of boot space, which is larger than the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire (316 litres) and smaller than the Honda Amaze (510 litres).
As for suspension, the upcoming sedan is fitted with independent- lower wishbone, McPherson Strut with coil spring suspension at the front and semi- independent, Twist beam with dual path strut suspension at the rear.
On the safety front, it comes equipped with front disc brake and rear drum brake. Other safety features of this sedan include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags and corner stability control.
3 Engine availability
The upcoming Tata Tigor comes available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol model of the Tata Tigor comes fitted with a 1199 cc, three-cylinder, VCTi Revotron, DOHC engine that generates 85 bhp of power @ 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque @ 3500 rpm. And, it is linked to a five speed manual transmission gearbox. Its weight is 1062 kg.
On the other hand, power for the diesel version of the Tata Tigor comes from a 1047 cc, 3-cylinder, Revotorq engine that produces 70 HP of power @ 4000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1800 – 3000 rpm. The engine is paired with a five speed manual transmission gearbox. Its weight is 1130 kg.
4 Infotainment/Navigation System
Apart from these, the upcoming Tata Tigor comes equipped with Harman infotainment system with eight-speaker sound system, four tweets and USB / Bluetooth with steering mounted control. At the same time, it has an application-based navigation system that supports Android system.
